Do peptide testing labs test for sterility?
The short answer
Some do, as a separately priced add-on — it is a microbiological test requiring incubation and controlled conditions, not a chromatographic one, and it takes days rather than hours. It is never included in a standard purity and quantification test. As of August 2026 the market leader lists sterility testing at $290 on its published pricelist.
In detail
Sterility and endotoxin testing are the two questions buyers most often assume a CoA already answers. Neither is covered by purity work, and both need dedicated methods.
There is also a sampling problem worth understanding: sterility testing consumes the sample it tests, so it tells you about the vials tested, not the vial you keep.
Our tariff is deliberately narrow — purity, quantification and identity, done well and published — rather than a long list of services delivered thinly.
