Do I need to ship peptides cold for testing?
The short answer
Not for lyophilised material. Freeze-dried peptide is stable at ambient temperature for normal transit times, which is why it is freeze-dried in the first place. Reconstituted peptide in solution is a different matter — it is far less stable and should not be shipped for analysis unless the solution itself is what you need measured.

Cold-chain shipping for dry peptide is an expense that buys very little. What matters more is protecting the vial from breakage and from extreme heat over long transit times.
If your material is already in solution, say so when ordering. The analysis is still possible but the interpretation changes, because degradation in solution is time-dependent and the clock started when it was reconstituted.
Original packaging, padding, and a reasonable transit time cover almost every practical case.
