Can a capsule or oral peptide product be tested?
The short answer
Often yes, but it needs an extraction step first, because the peptide has to be separated from fillers, coatings and excipients before chromatography. That adds method development and cost compared with a lyophilised vial. Recovery from the matrix also becomes part of the uncertainty, and a report should say so rather than presenting the number bare.

The complication is the matrix, not the peptide. Excipients can interfere with detection, and incomplete extraction lowers the apparent content without anything being wrong with the product.
This is why oral and capsule formats are quoted individually rather than sitting on the standard tariff.
If you are assessing an oral product, be clear about which question you are asking: how much peptide is in the capsule, or how much survives a given condition.
